Deputy Secretary-General Amina J. Mohammed emphasized that Africa has unfortunately become the focal point of global terrorism and calls for action against terrorism in Afrika.
Speaking to the Security Council this week she remarked that terrorism, in all its various forms, poses the greatest threat to peace, security, and sustainable development across the continent at this time.

Three junta-ruled countries in Africa's Sahel region will join forces to create a 5,000-strong unit to fight the jihadist violence that has for years plagued the nations, officials said on Tuesday.

IPC’s Electoral Court challenge on 2024 National Assembly election postponed pending Supreme Court ruling on presidential polls
The Independent Patriots for Change’s Electoral Court challenge of Namibia’s 2024 National Assembly election will not proceed until the Supreme Court has decided a similar case about the 2024 presidential election.
This was ordered by Electoral Court judges Hannelie Prinsloo, Orben Sibeya and Esi Schimming-Chase at the end of a ruling delivered in the Windhoek High Court yesterday.

South Afrika Lends Supports to South Sudan As part of South Africa's support for the implementation of the Revitalised Agreement on the Resolution of Conflict in South Sudan (R-ARCSS), and today the South African Embassy led by The Ambassador H.E. Adv Mahlodi Muofhe, will donate a vehicle to the National Election Commission (NEC) of the Republic of South Sudan.
