A growing humanitarian crisis is unfolding in Durban, where thousands of immigrants and refugees have sought shelter at Sherwood Hall amid rising anti-immigrant tensions. Among them are about 200 refugees whose legal status in SA has been verified by Home Affairs, but who were recently forced to leave their camp outside the Durban Home Affairs office after police said they could not guarantee their safety.
