1. Geneva- Nigeria 

WTO chief Okonjo-Iweala seeks second term to complete 'unfinished business' 

WTO Director-General Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala will seek another four-year term as head of the World Trade Organization following a broad Africa-led push to start the process early, aiming to complete "unfinished business" from her first mandate. 

 

1. USA- Niger 

The U.S. military said on Monday it had completed its withdrawal from Niger. 

The West African nation's ruling junta in April ordered the U.S. to withdraw its nearly 1,000 military personnel from the country, in an embarrassing setback for Washington that followed a coup last year in the West African nation. 

 

1. South Sudan- Juba 

South Sudan Postpones Elections, Extends Transitional Period 

South Sudan long-awaited elections would be postponed for a further two years, once again extending a transitional period agreed in a peace deal. 

1. Eswatini- Mbabane 

The Eswatini government is contemplating shutting down the country's Editors Forum after a senior journalist had a verbal showdown with Prime Minister Russell Dlamini .
