As part of women’s month we take a look at the efforts of women empowerment in the energy sector: more than 100 South African women, who are working in the energy sector, will graduate the ‘Women Leading in the Energy Sector (WLES) Programme’ this Women’s month. EWSETA’s programme, in partnership with DUKE Corporate Education and Eskom saw the women spend nine months gaining invaluable leadership skills ahead of a global immersion which they undertook in June. The women who participated in the programme are middle managers, executives, SMME leaders, and TVET Lecturers.
