Malawi- Lilongwe, Malawi’s Vice-President, Saulos Chilima, was among 10 people killed when a small military plane crashed in a mountainous region in the north of the country, President Chakwera said "I'm deeply saddened, I'm sorry to inform you all that it has turned out to be a terrible tragedy. The search and rescue team has found the aircraft near a hill. They have found it completely destroyed with no survivors”

The Hague – North Sudan, The International Criminal Court's chief prosecutor Karim Khan is urgently investigating allegations of war crimes and crimes against humanity in the Darfur city of al-Fashir which has become a new front between the Sudanese army and the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF).

3. Nigeria – Abuja, Amnesty International has accused the Nigerian army of illegally detaining girls and young women who have escaped from Boko Haram captivity because the military believes they support the Islamist insurgent group.

4. DR Congo – Kinshasa, The Democratic Republic of Congo held a session to swear in its new Prime Minister Judith Suminwa Tuluka and her government on yesterday, ending more than six months of deadlock following President Felix Tshisekedi's re-election.
