Latest developments on South Sudan Peace Deal: On Sunday, South Sudan rebels rejected a government peace offer to return to a system of 10 states, dashing hopes of ending a six-year war that has left 380,000 people dead. President Salva Kiir had said he would compromise by cutting the current 32 regional states back down to the original 10 - a key rebel demand - to pave the way for a unity government.

This after political parties, different organizations, church groups and citizens condemned the De Klerk Foundation's claim that the UN's classification of apartheid as a crime against humanity was a result of propaganda by the Soviet union, the ANC and others to stigmatize white South Africans. The foundation last week echoed remarks made by former deputy president FW De Klerk in a TV interview, saying that Apartheid was not a crime against humanity.
