Vodacom has now confirmed that it has lodged its application for leave to appeal the Please Call Me judgment and order to the Constitutional Court of South Africa. Vodacom has released a statement saying that this case is having an impact on both Vodacom South Africa and Vodacom Group, as well as the attractiveness of South Africa as an investment destination. It would negatively impact their employees, shareholders and Vodacom’s contribution to public finances. It would also have an impact on their network investment, coverage, and social programmes.

Seven suspects have been arrested in connection with the murders of  South African rapper Kiernan Forbes, popularly known as AKA, and his close friend, celebrity chef and entrepreneur Tebello "Tibz" Motshoane. The latest from the police is that the suspects are all due to appear in court tomorrow.
