Today, members of uMkhonto weSizwe Party marched to the Union Buildings in support of KwaZulu-Natal Police Commissioner Lieutenant- General Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi. But this was not the only march taking place there. In a separate march, the Defend South Africa movement also added its voice, demanding the immediate resignation of President Cyril Ramaphosa, citing corruption, economic failures and the influx of immigrants into South Africa as some of the worrying trends that have worsened under his leadership. So post these two marches we ask, is marching still effective in South Africa today?
