The search for survivors continues at the site of the building collapse in Ikoyi, an upper-class area of Lagos state in Nigeria. So far, the disaster has killed at least 34 people, while nine have been pulled out alive. Sadly though - many more are still trapped inside the rubble.

Voters are confident that the 2021 local government elections were both free and fair. This according to the Human Sciences Research Council, HSRC's preliminary findings of the Election Satisfaction Survey. The HSRC say an overwhelming majority of sampled voters feel that the election procedures were free.

Briefing the media after the party's Senate meeting last night, Mashaba says the party wants to run a pro-poor government and not serve certain constituencies.
