Busmark has lodged an application to appeal against a decision to reinstate 82 workers who were unfairly dismissed in 2013. In August 2013 members of the National Union of Metalworkers of South Africa (NUMSA) participated in a National Motor strike which Busmark says was unprotected. Busmark, a company which manufactures, maintains and services buses, then took disciplinary action against the striking workers by dismissing them. The matter was eventually solved through Private Arbitrator who ordered Busmark to reinstate the 82 workers. Before this sudden U-Turn, on the 11th of May this year we spoke to Busmark's HR General Manager, Auphelia Chounyane who said they will comply with the Abritrator's decison and welcome workers all the workers...
