Listen Later

New year, new podcast! We’re starting off 2018 talking about NFB programs and initiatives that help build bonds between parents and children. First, Anil and Melissa discuss our Early Childhood Initiative Program, which introduces young children to Braille and the long white cane. Next, Melissa and Chris talk about our revamped Blind Parent Mentoring Program. President Riccobono shares with Anil why the NFB focuses on helping blind parents and parents of blind children. And finally, we introduce Members’ Voices, a new segment where we share feedback from members and listeners on a specific topic. This month, we’re talking about Braille.
