Foraging for Fun: Eating Weeds In this course, Master Naturalist Craig Caudill will guide you in learning how to forage for food and medicine and have a fun time doing it. What we usually call “weeds” are often native plants that are packed with nutrition and great taste. Craig will take you into the woods, backyards, and parks and show you the critical identifying features of numerous plants and some trees. You will be able to find plants nearly anywhere in the Eastern region of the United States. Various plants thrive in one season or another, so Craig is going to add to this course continually as more plants arrive on the scene.
