What can I eat? What can I drink? What kind of car can I drive? How big of a house can I live in? How much time should I spend in prayer?

Does anything matter as long as I have said the right prayer to accept Christ and believe the right things? Many of the issues listed above are cultural issues.

Remember, the law could not save.  A new set of laws will not save either. What is to rule over us is the law of love.

Outward display of the gifting of the spirit – but when God starts getting into your

life, your thoughts, your mindset, your lifestyle – he changes your core behavior.

-Every relationship has responsibility

-Relationships (can) change who you are

-The Bible says we are children of God – we’re the Bride of Christ

You can’t outgive God.

God gave us gifts and we are meant to use those. We are also meant to share

these gifts with others. Don’t withhold the gifts of God from his people.

Romans 9 & 10

· Types of Drift

1.   When we get sleepy, tired, unaware, or lethargic and end up somewhere we had no intent to be.

2.   Fighting over how to carry out the mission – imagine a captain at the wheel who leaves the wheel to go argue about the best way to start the mission and while they are fighting, the ship drifts off course and is heading towards a collision.

Every time I decide to focus on a small distinctive over the movement of the gospel, I am missing out on the mission!

Internal division, will always lead to external destruction….it will distract from mission!

Do you struggle? Can you pinpoint what the biggest struggle in your life is? I can answer it for you…it’s you. Yourself.

We all have a sinful nature. How do we TURN from it?

Sin is the opposite of LOVE (God) - (John 3:16)

Sin is SELFISH (Selfishness) - (James 3:16)

SIN is Unbelief - (John 16:9)

Every time we sin – something within us dies. -Romans 6:23: “For the wages of sin is death”

Turn from your sin and accept the Savior.

Romans 4

We all used to be part of a group of people (Adam’s people).

God made a guy named Abraham a promise (Abraham became the father of Faith).

Jesus is the answer to Abraham’s faith and God’s promise.

We now pass from death to life, not because we are Abraham’s bloodline, but because we are Abraham’s faith line.

What makes us family now is not that the same blood flows through my veins.  What makes us family now is that the same Holy Spirit dwells in us, and that enables the same faith that Abraham had.  We are now friends of God and children of God. . . not by blood, but by faith.

“You have been weighed, you have been measured, and you have been found wanting.” Have you heard this phrase before?

For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard. This principle is a foundational principle to the Gospel (Good News) of Jesus Christ…in order to realize we need Jesus, we need to know where we stand.

SO WHY DID JESUS NEED TO DIE FOR ME?

Because of our conditions, we know that we fall short of being able to be right with God!

Jesus died to defeat the grips of sin and death that the power of this world had over us!
