Capturing Ndlovu Youth Choir’s joyous, uplifting and energetic live performances on record was never going to be an easy task. But the choir’s first album is a stunning representation of the group from Limpopo that stole the hearts of millions during the 2019 season of America’s Got Talent (AGT) – and it has all the makings of an enduring favourite for music fans across the globe.
Titled Africa, the 11-track album delivers the signature songs that took a choir from the village of Moutse to the stage of a talent search show that draws 10 million viewers each season in America alone. It also includes an impeccably chosen repertoire of South African and international tracks and the choir’s first original – Believe - written by Ralf Schmitt, Ndlovu Youth Choir’s choirmaster, conductor and artistic director.
