George Visger, a member of the San Francisco 49ers' first Super Bowl champions in 1981-82, has lived with a shunt in his brain ever since as a result of the many concussions he sustained during his football career. 

Despite suffering from "water on the brain" and impaired short-term memory, he became a wildlife biologist, a prominent figure in the fight for fair treatment of retired players by the $10-billion-a-year National Football League, and advocate in solutions to the American football concussion crisis at all levels. 

This is his remarkable story.

NFL offensive lineman, who played primarily with the Pittsburgh Steelers and Jacksonville Jaguars in an 11 year career spanning between 1992-2002. He was drafted in the first-round and 11th overall by the Pittsburgh Steelers out of the University of Miami in the 1992 NFL Draft.

He spent one season with the Baltimore Ravens in 2001 before signing with the Miami Dolphins in 2002. He tried to earn a starting position with Miami, but ultimately he was placed on the injured reserved list. After the 2002 season he retired.

He is the offensive line coach at Florida International University

Davin Joseph is an American football guard for the St. Louis Rams of the National Football League. He played college football for the University of Oklahoma. He was drafted by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the first round in the 2006 NFL Draft.

Dan Blanchard the Award Winning Author, Speaker, Educator two-time Junior Olympian Wrestler, and two-time Junior Olympian Wrestling Coach grew up as a student-athlete. However, Dan admits that as a youth he was more of an athlete than a student.  Dan has now successfully completed fourteen years of college and has earned seven degrees. He teaches Social Studies in Connecticut’s largest inner-city high school. In addition, Dan is a Teacher Consultant for the University of Connecticut’s Writing Project. He was chosen by the American Federation of Teachers as their face and voice of educational reform.  Because Dan’s students repeatedly asked him to write a book  to tell others what he tells them,  Dan finally listened and has now authored two dynamic teen leadership books, Granddaddy’s Secrets: Feeling Lucky? and Granddaddy’s Secrets: Feeling Good. His third book of the Granddaddy’s Secrets series, Feeling Strong! will be out next year. As an educator, coach, author, and speaker Dan feels that it is his duty to positively influence our youth every chance that he gets! He lives with his wife, Jennifer, their five children, and family dog, Daisy and is available for speaking engagements.
