Hey Baseball Fans! We are back after a brief Irish hiatus and what a time in New York baseball it is. Both teams continue to roll, but there is reason for concern. This episode was recorded moments after Max Scherzer pulled himself out of Wednesday's game. While we now know (spoiler alert) that he will miss significant time, we still think this Mets team is still very impressive and we break down why. Also, that team up in the Bronx ain't too shabby either. These teams are either flawed or injured, but their record is still what matters in May. Give us a follow on IG and enjoy!
The calendar has turned to May and these two New York baseball clubs are still scorching hot! We give you all of the ins and outs. How sustainable is this fast start? Are we seeing the beginnings of something more than just a really good April? We break it all down for you. Make sure to check out our Instagram page @nephewspod for 'Look it Up!' and more content. Off next week, catch you later in the month. Enjoy!
Baseball fans, the Mets have gone from having a hot start to being a genuine problem in the National League. In this episode we cover the last game against the Giants, the Diamondbacks series and the first two games against the Cardinals. The contributions are coming from all over, but it's not all sunshine and rainbows. We break it all down for you. After the Mets talk we take a look at the Yankees and their improbably winning ways. Be sure to follow us on IG @nephewspod for 'Look it Up' and more #content. Enjoy!

So, funny story, we recorded this episode nearly a month ago on the last night of the lockout. We had no idea that the MLBPA and MLB would actually figure it out and end the lockout the very next day. So I've been sitting on this episode for a while now and instead of throwing it away as old news, we'll publish it now. If you're interested in what really went on during the 99-day lockout, give us a listen. We hope you enjoy!
And so are we. The Nephews return upon the lifting of the lockout and the wild condensed free agency period we just witnessed. Who plays for what team now? We touch on all of the major deals. How good can the Mets be with their three-headed rotation? Are the Yankees going to be any good? How is a team like the Dodgers possible? We break it all down. Thank you for your patience while we took the lockout fueled offseason off. We are thrilled that baseball is back and so are we! Enjoy!
Baseball fans, wake up! I know the lockout has us all bummed, but this is a very important week for the history of our game and how the last 30 seasons will be remembered. The voting for the 2022 Hall of Fame ballot is all but wrapped up and will be revealed in just a few days. This is the most controversial ballot of all time. It's the last chance for Barry Bonds, Roger Clemens, Sammy Sosa, and Curt Schilling to get in and the first chance for David Ortiz and Alex Rodriguez. We ourselves voted and voted quite differently. Listen as we make our cases and debate the big topic of the steroid era. You can see our ballots on our Instagram and Twitter pages @NephewsPod, feel free to comment on how bad they are! We also cover the recent CBA proposal from the owners and sound off on the state of the lockout.
