It’s the end of the year, which means it’s time for our annual “Best and Worst” of list! We sit down and discuss our favorite movies, television shows, Japanese media, video games, and conventions of 2023 in this episode!

There’s a lot to go over this episode. We start with Atomic Monster Weekend’s last minute, mysterious cancellation (that still has almost no signs of having happened on the internet). Then we go into an update on the ongoing Ohayocon situation and where things currently stand. Finally, we dig into the events at ColossalCon North a few days ago that led to the con’s cosplay contest staff abruptly quitting Saturday morning.

It’s a hell of a time.

Before that though, we talk about the launch of NerdAndTie[dot]Social, the new official forums for Nerd & Tie.

With the conclusion of the Illinois suit against Trae Dorn and former Nerd & Tie contributor Pher Sturz earlier this month, we thought we should sit down and talk about what’s happened over those years. We discuss the full timeline of events, what Trae was actually accused of saying, and how things affected us.

Also Celeste manages to squeeze in Transformers too. It’s chaos.

We should not be left to our own devices.
