In this episode, we’re joined by Brisbane South Wildcats Sapphire Head Coach and newly appointed 2027 Queensland 19U Head Coach, Lauren Mead.

Lauren chats about stepping into the head coaching role at the Wildcats, the challenges and opportunities that come with leading a Sapphire program, and her journey through the Queensland pathway, including coaching the Queensland 17U side at this year’s National Netball Championships.

We also talk about her opportunity to work within the Australian pathway environment at the AIS, what she learnt from being around some of the country’s leading coaches and emerging athletes, and how those experiences continue to shape her own coaching philosophy.

This week, we chat with Queensland netball stalwart Simone Nalatu about her journey from Queensland Firebirds player and Fiji international to one of the state’s leading pathway coaches.

Simone reflects on representing Fiji at two World Championships, coaching the Fiji Under-21s, developing Queensland’s next generation of talent, and working with emerging stars including Cara Koenen and Steph Fretwell.

We also discuss Sunshine Coast Reserves’ incredible rise to the Nationals Grand Final and Simone’s five-year journey with Sunshine Coast Thunder.

We sit down with one of Queensland netball’s true legends, Liz White OAM, Australian Diamond #75 and a coach whose influence has spanned an incredible 57 years in the game.

Liz reflects on her journey from representing Australia and captaining Queensland to becoming one of the most successful pathway coaches in the country.

With 17 premierships at Brisbane North Cougars, Liz also shares what makes the program so successful and what she sees in athletes who are ready to make the jump towards SSN and the Diamonds.

We sit down with Moreton Bay City Pulse midcourter Michaela Kadlecek to discuss her journey with one of the HART Premier Netball League's newest clubs and what it's been like helping build the team's culture and set the standards from day one since 2025.
