In 2020, Alise realized and embraced her dream of being a digital nomad travel blogger. A digital nomad is someone who runs a business or does remote work with a laptop or cell phone and travels. Alise, and her husband Gregg, ages 48 and 66, let their apartment lease expire, sold or gifted most of their belongings, with no home to return to, and in April 2021, they set out on a transformational travel journey, with their two cats.
Alise and Gregg traveled the United States, for 700 days in their car with almost everything they own, staying in Airbnbs, and now are traveling through Greece, as of March 18, 2023 for 1 year, on a long-term visa, with their cats.
In 2018, Alise left her corporate life and six-figure salary, feeling like she wasn’t living life fully and felt her job choices had made her ill. She created her first business in 2017, a virtual bookkeeping company, serving small business owners, which she does today, from the road, as her digital nomad job.
Together, Gregg and Alise have over 60 years of hospitality knowledge. While Gregg is a former hotel General Manager for Hilton Hotel Corp, with domestic and international experience, Alise is a former controller for Hilton Hotel Corp, a Regional Director of Revenue, creating strategies to optimize the generation of revenue, and Director of Human Resources for other luxury hotel brands. Alise has the trifecta of experience that allows her to help new and seasoned business owners in her bookkeeping company and those that want to start businesses to become digital nomads. She helps others to embrace their entrepreneurial dreams through a variety of resources, including business and personal coaching.
Alise would not be where she is without the trauma healing work she’s done the last 3+ years. She continues her journey of self-healing from the road. Having self-healed her MS lesion years ago, Alise takes part in intensive trauma healing and continues her lifelong journey of self-love and awareness to be her best self. Alise often says that she was dying a slow death of repetition and wanted to know what it was like to fully life, full throttle. She wanted to expand as a person and break generational trauma cycles. “I’m living my life purpose of breaking these trauma chains for my generational lineage. It’s been hard but amazing. I wouldn’t be here (having a digital nomad life traveling) without the work I’ve done”.
Alise and Gregg are having the time of their lives traveling and are excited about their future international plans of Portugal 2024, Spain 2025, and France 2026. They can’t wait to hike and bike their way through these amazing places! Their tag line says it all “Creating a Life, Wild and Free”!
