U.S. military cargo planes are deliveringmore than 240 metric tons of various supplies — medicine, nutritional supplements, personal hygiene supplies, toothpaste, bar soap and the like — to three locations close to Venezuela’s borders. It is being supplied by USAID (United States Agency for International Development), using a few millions of its $27 billion budget to put more pressure on Venezuela’s dictator, Nicolás Maduro. Maduro has declared that his military will stop any such aid from entering his country, claiming that it’s a Trojan Horse that is setting the stage for a military invasion by U.S. troops.

President Trump signed the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act into law in 2017, which went into effect with the 2018 tax year. The most significant part of this new tax law was that it put a $10,000 cap on the state and local tax (SALT) deduction that taxpayers can claim. (Previously, there was no limit on this deduction.)

In what may be a bit like a dwarf claiming an NBA player lacks stature, Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) accused President Trump of being semi-illiterate after he likened her Green New Deal (GND) proposal to a poorly conceived and written high-school paper. This comes on the heels of her retraction of the GND FAQ, which was posted on her website — and spoke of eliminating flatulating cows and air travel — but which her chief of staff now dismisses as being in the nature of “typos.”

During a TV interview about the growing scandal surrounding Representative Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.), a liberal Republican congressman infamous for his close ties to a Soviet-backed terrorist group took a swipe at “elements” of the constitutionalist John Birch Society. Speaking on Fox News, Congressman Peter King (R-N.Y.; shown) called on Democrat Party leadership to condemn Representative Omar's comments, which were widely slammed as anti-Semitic. But in the process, for reasons that were not immediately clear, King also invoked alleged Republican resistance against some elements of the JBS. He may have still been mad that a Jewish writer for this magazine — an affiliate of JBS — exposed his troubling links to the Nazi- and Islamist terror-linked Irish Republican Army (IRA).
