The impeachment trial in which President Trump is defending himself against false accusations of abuse of power and obstruction of Congress might well be the result of a four-man conspiracy.

Paul Sperry of Real Clear Investigations reports that ballyhooed CIA whistleblower Eric Ciaramella and Sean Misko, a legman for House Intelligence Committee Adam Schiff, leader of the impeachment prosecution team, said they must “take out” Trump when they worked at the White House.

Illegal crossings across the Southwest U.S. border with Mexico dropped dramatically late last year after the Trump administration instituted its Migration Protection Protocols (MPP) — a policy of making asylum-seekers wait in Mexico for hearings in U.S. courts. The decrease was most evident in the U.S. Border Patrol’s Yuma sector.

There were nearly 14,000 arrests in the Yuma sector back in May, when the policy to make asylum-seekers wait in Mexico first took effect there. But by October, they fell 94 percent, to less than 800, and have stayed there since. Yuma is now the second-slowest of the Border Patrol’s nine sectors on the Mexican border, after the normally quiet Big Bend sector in Texas.

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell blocked multiple attempts by Democrat impeachment managers to call witnesses who are not germane to the articles of impeachment, and so, late last night, House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerry Nadler accused the GOP majority of a “coverup.”

A leaked report from a police agency in Britain has confirmed what everyone knew: Cops did nothing to stop Pakistani Muslims from “grooming” and raping more than 1,000 girls in Rotherham because they feared “racial tensions.”

News about the “Asian” rape gangs began surfacing almost a decade ago, but the full truth emerged in 2014 when an official report said the Asian men operated with impunity for 15 years.

Now, it appears, the reckoning has come. An investigatory panel has upheld a half-dozen complaints against cops who ignored the rapes, and a member of Parliament from Rotherham wants to name names.

In the era of NAFTA and the World Trade Organization (WTO), it is easy to overlook the fact that countries once traded with each other without that trade being managed by multinational or international trade regimes. Regarding the United States, Congress exercised its constitutional powers to set tariffs (which are nothing more than excise taxes on foreign imports at their point of entry into the United States) and, in general, to “regulate commerce with foreign nations” (Article I, Section 8 of the Constitution).
