The election has finally been called. It's now over to the 17.2 million eligible Australian voters to decide how this great country is led over the coming three years. We at The New Blurt believe in facts so below we have included important information about preferential voting as many people think voting for independents or minor parties is a wasted vote. It isn't.

On this weeks' show, not only do we talk about the upcoming federal election, but we also talk about the weird and wonderful world of animals around us. We all need good news in this sometimes gloomy world, so we found some great news coming out of war-torn Ukraine. Wencee went back to his stomping ground, Melbourne, to catch up with family and friends. This show Wencee and the Kegsta were in the same room recording the show and boy was it uncomfortable! We both definitely prefer streaming! Hahaha.

This week we reviewed two beers, both from Melbourne. One was very meaty and made you drowsy, the other a worthy pale amber to be a regular drink.

In our Science segment, it’s all about animals this time. Do they have emotions, can they think? Are they smart enough to count?

And lastly, in our segment where we celebrate people who did good things, we pay tribute to an Aussie legend entertainer Ernie Carroll. Most remember him from Hey Hey It’s Saturday, but he did more than that. And we also remember the achievements of David Warren, the black box inventor. An invention borne from the tragic loss of his own father in a plane accident.
