On this week’s episode of “All Star Celebrity Apprentice”, the teams were tasked with coming up with a marketing presentation for the tourism board of South Africa. Rob welcomes to the podcast the man behind the idea for Reality Gamemasters, Alex Forstenhausler (@Aforstenhausler) to break down all of this week’s drama.

This week Brande Roderick was fired by Donald Trump after leading Team Power to another loss. Her efforts were called “juvenile” by the tourism board and there was little question that she would be fired – though Trump tried to make it seem like he wanted to fire Lil’ John.

However, this night would belong to the Master of Celebrity Apprentice, Gary Busey. Gary Busey had a number of memorable quotes about such varied topics as murder in Johannesburg, romance, shark farts and much more. Rob asks Alex is Gary Busey has eclipsed his performance on the first season of the Celebrity Apprentice and both the guys believe that he has. Now that Gary is in the top 6, Rob wonders just how much further he can go. With another shot at project manager looming next week, Gary looks surely to be fired on next week’s episode.

Turning to Team Power, Rob and Alex discuss which was the dumbest part of their presentation: the slogan “You + South Africa = Adventure”, the guy dressed up in the shark costume or zip lining in an office chair. Rob and Alex both believe that there was probably no chance that Trump was going to fire Lil’ John.

As for Penn Jillette, Rob thinks that he has emerged as the #1 contender to win the Celebrity Apprentice this season. Lisa Rinna is hanging on to Penn for as long as she can in this game and Rob compares them to a showmance.

Finally, Rob and Alex answer a number of questions from the listeners of Rob Has a Podcast about this week’s edition of the Celebrity Apprentice.

The Celebrity Apprentice

Rob welcomes Adam Spiegelman (@ProudlyResents) from ProudlyResents.com to break down the latest episode of Celebrity Apprentice.  The teams worked on a silent film commercial for “Australian Gold” sun tan products.  Gary Busey took his turn as Project Manager and Rob was rather impressed with the job that he did, even though he actually didn’t do that much.  The decision on who would be fired was left between Gary Busey and Stephen Baldwin – with all of America breathing a collective sigh of relief when it was Stephen Baldwin who was fired.  Rob and Adam agreed that it was pretty arbitrary that the Trumps fired Stephen for saying Gary was an “Amazing” project manager this week before trying to spin that he wasn’t.

Both of the teams had several bizarre elements in their commercials.  Rob thought that Busey’s team might have been better served by getting models instead of using Lisa Rinna in a bikini.  Rob asks Adam if he thinks that Cavemen and “peekers” are nearly as funny as Trace Atkins thinks they are.  Adam thought that Trace’s chair breaking was severely underplayed on this week’s episode as well.  Rob and Adam also try to figure out how exactly Trace’s caveman was able to travel in time, but only up to 1986.

Now that we’re down to only 7 players, Rob and Adam then try to handicap the rest of the field as to who will win the show.

The Amazing Race (1:02:20)

Rob welcomes back Eric Curto (@RealityRecaps) to the podcast to discuss this week’s episode of The Amazing Race.  This week the teams traveled to Zurich, Switzerland for everybody’s favorite – the cold weather leg of the race.  On this leg of the race the teams would transport a St. Bernard up a mountain, rescue a gnome from a ledge and eventually sled 50 pound wheels of cheese down a snowy hill.

With Chuck and Wynona going out of the Race on this leg, Rob asks Eric whom he felt worse for at this point, Chuck or Wynona?  Eric says that he had more sympathy for Chuck because Wynona had been so useless but Rob started to feel worse for Wynona this week after Chuck kept yelling at her.  Rob and Eric discussed the 30-minute penalty as well and how the producers of Amazing Race decide on a time penalty.  Rob also felt like this week’s adventure with the wheels of cheese was far less interesting that the last time such wheels of cheese were used on the race.

On this week’s edition of the Celebrity Apprentice, Rob Cesternino is joined by Celebrity Apprentice blogger Jordan Kalish (@JordanKalish) to talk about tonight’s episode. Dennis Rodman was fired in the boardroom this week after his team spelled the name of Melania Trump wrong in their advertorial for her line of caviar skin cream.

Rob and Jordan break down everything from this week’s show including the decision to fire Dennis Rodman, the greatness of Gary Busey and just how much Trump kneesucking can fit in one episode of The Celebrity Apprentice.

Mario Lanza has written about Survivor since the early days of the show and captured a very large following over the years. However, these days Mario enjoys talking about the Celebrity Apprentice even more.  Rob Cesternino recaps the latest one hour episode of The Celebrity Apprentice on the latest episode of Rob Has a Podcast.

Rob and Mario discuss why Mario enjoys Celebrity Apprentice even more than Survivor at this point in time.  Rob wants to know if Omarosa deserved to be the one to be fired this weeks show instead of Dennis Rodman.  Plus, Rob and Mario discuss the implications of Gary Busey’s amazing sculpture called “Lightning Strikes Mr. Hang Brain”.

Turning to Stephen Baldin, Rob and Mario discuss whether or not Stephen had a point by debating that he should have been given credit for the artwork he created that was sold to one of Lisa’s buyers.  Rob really liked how Dennis Rodman openly mocked Stephen Baldwin for only raising $5,000 for the team.  Mario and Rob discuss the long reality TV back story between Rodman and Baldwin dating back to their time together on the Celebrity Mole Yucatan.

On this week’s All-Star Celebrity Apprentice, beloved Farouk Systems CEO and inventor of Chi styling products, Farouk, returns to the show. Returning as well is Ryan Pappolla to discuss an eventful night on Celebrity Apprentice. For the second week in a row, a losing project manager is fired after not bringing Omarossa to the boardroom. This week it was Claudia Jordan who was fired by making the same mistake Latoya made a week ago. Could the Celebrity Apprentice contestants be suffering from a case of Omarosa-phobia?

After the Omarosa controversy, the guys discuss what a great week Gary Busey had.  Gary revealed his superpowers to be able to visually detect flatulence when he accuses Lina Rinna of farting in the car.  In addition, Gary also served as the team’s accountant.  Gary seemed to struggle during the prop buying portion of the task when he needed to get a “bill of sale” and even thought he had lost the bag of money.

Discussing some of the other players, Rob and Ryan break down the play of Stephen Baldwin.  Ryan is an unabashed Stephen Baldwin apologist, even though Rob is not a fan of Baldwin. Rob thinks that “Plan B” missed an opportunity to make a connection between Biosilk and the classic Stephen Baldwin film, Biodome.

Rob and Ryan also try to determine the Celebrity Apprentice power rankings after four weeks to try and figure out who is in the best position to win this season.  Somehow, Dennis Rodman is extremely high in the power rankings even though he hasn’t done anything on consequence on the show.

After a wild night of fighting between Latoya Jackson and Omarosa on Celebrity Apprentice, Rob Cesternino welcomes David Nussbaum aka Nuzzy (@TheNuzzy) from the Decently Funny podcast.

After introducing Nuzzy, Rob begins setting the stage for the Omarosa vs. Latoya fighting that took place.  As project manager, Latoya started working on the team’s project but Omarosa wanted to go shopping with Brande Roderick.  Latoya tried to put her foot down but Omarosa pissed when Latoya told her to “be quiet”.  Then Omarosa started talking over Latoya which caused Latoya to put her hand on her hip and then Omarosa followed suit by putting her hand on her hip (all while Lil Jon narrated).

Later, Omarosa went missing to deal with the news that a tabloid was planning on airing the tapes of Omarosa calling 911 after her fiance Michael Clarke Duncan had suffered a heart attack.  Power was forced to perform the Crystal light task without Omarosa, but seemed to not be too much worse for the wear.  However, when Power lost the task, Latoya tried blaming the loss on Omarosa.  After getting a lot of fight from Omarosa, Latoya chose not to bring Omarosa to the board room – instead bringing back Dennis Rodman and Brande.  Puzzled by Latoya’s decision, Trump fired Latoya Jackson, making her the first player ever fired three times from the Apprentice.

For Plan B, things went much smoother with the exception of Stephen Baldwin becoming a tyrant to the team.  Rob and Nuzzy discuss what they though of how Susan Lucci looked in her performance this week for Plan B.  Plus, the guys discuss why everybody is picking on Gary Busey all the time on The All-Star Celebrity Apprentice.

On the latest episode of the All-Star Celebrity Apprentice the teams were instructed to come up with a 3D display that would be shown at the Universal Studios theme park in Orlando, Florida.  To discuss the latest Celebrity Apprentice offering, Rob is joined by comedian Adam Spiegelman (@ProudlyResents), host of the podcast PROUDLY RESENTS.

Dee Snider was selected as the project manager for Plan B while Omarosa took the lead for “Power”.  Rob thought it was unusual that Dee vacationed at Universal Studios between 50-100 times, but we’ll go with it.  The guys began by talking about Dee’s horrible idea which was just cutouts of the members of the team for the tourists to take a picture with.  Perhaps the least creative idea ever had on the celebrity apprentice, Rob wonders if Dee was a worthy member of the All-Star season of Celebrity Apprentice.

On the other side of the task, Omarosa earned high marks from both Rob and Adam.  She rode her team hard and ruffled feathers, but won this task going away.  Both Rob and Adam were impressed with the work Lil Jon, who is emerging as a threat to win the game (and has a cool laptop too).

Adam would share a story about a real life encounter with Omarosa while he was producing at the Jimmy Kimmel show.  Rob and Adam also discuss why nobody seems to have any sympathy for Omarosa who is playing “Celebrity Apprentice” so close to the death of her fiance, Michael Clarke Duncan.

So much more craziness to discuss including Gary Busey deciding to tickle (or molest) all of the people at the park, Marilu Henner telling everybody what day of the week they were born on and Stephen Baldwin’s creepy whispering to Dee.  Plus, we get in to all of the Trump fakeouts in the boardroom this week on The Celebrity Apprentice podcast.

The crazy train is pulling back in to the station as the All-Star Celebrity Apprentice kicked off this past Sunday night. Rob Cesternino is joined by longtime pal and Celebrity Apprentice enthusiast, Ryan Pappolla (@RyanPappolla) to break down the season premiere.

Rob starts off be questioning Donald Trump’s decision to fire Bret Michaels, a former winner of Celebrity Apprentice 3, on the first task. Was Donald Trumps decision about Bret causing the team to lose the task that the team took part on or did Donald need to prove that he was right when he said that it was a mistake for Bret to come back. Rob believed that Donald just wanted to show that when he says “don’t do it”, you should listen to him.

Rob and Ryan went in to great detail about the Celebrity Apprentice draft. Ryan and Rob liked Trace Adkin’s first pick of Penn Jillette. The controversial pick came when Bret Michaels used his first pick in the draft to take the most notorious player in Apprentice history, Omarosa. Rob bets that Bret Michaels has never seen another episode of Celebrity Apprentice besides his own season, but knew Omarosa was a famous player. Ryan suspects that Bret felt like if he could get in good with Omarosa that it would be a benefit to him. Rob compares working with Omarosa to the fable of the alligator and the scorpion.

At the end of the draft, Trace had to pick between two of the Celebrity Apprentice’s most colorful and crazy characters: either Dennis Rodman or Gary Busey. Rob and Ryan both agree that Dennis Rodman would be the better pick because he always draws in a crowd for your tasks while Gary Busey is only fun for us at home.

Among the other topics discussed in the show: Donald Trump’s unwavering love for Latoya Jackson, the awkwardness of all things Stephen Baldwin and Rob’s disdain for the praise heaped on the career of actress and singer, Jennifer Hudson.

One of the greatest minds covering television, Dalton Ross from Entertainment Weekly, joins Rob Cesternino to discuss the all-new cast of the upcoming Celebrity Apprentice All-Stars. Rob and Dalton go through the cast which will be competing this spring for the very coveted title of Celebrity Apprentice.

The Celebrity Apprentice All-Stars:

Trace Adkins – The runner up from the original Celebrity Apprentice returns, though neither Dalton or Rob are particularly thrilled to see him again.

Stephen Baldwin – Veteran of many a celebrity reality tv show, Stephen Baldwin returns after an appearance on the first season of the show. Dalton fondly recalls Stephen Baldwin’s stints on the Celebrity Mole and applauds his work of getting Alec Baldwin to appear on the Apprentice in his first season.

Gary Busey – Rob and Dalton agree that they will not have to burn down the NBC Headquarters or the Trump Towers as the most entertaining Celebrity Apprentice contestant of all time is back.

Penn Jillette – Rob is surprised to see Penn return because he didn’t think Penn liked being on the Celebrity Apprentice. Dalton thinks Penn is a real sleeper to win the All-Star season.

Lil Jon – Dalton is more excited than Rob is to see rapper Lil Jon return to the show. Rob doesn’t think Lil Jon was that memorable on Celebrity Apprentice 4, but Dalton doesn’t hate the pick.

Dennis Rodman – Another surprising choice considering that Dennis Rodman actually walked out on the competition in Celebrity Apprentice 2. Perhaps back to seek redemption, Dennis doesn’t bring much to the table but is an asset to his teams because he is so recognizable.

Dee Snider – The creator of the hit song for 7-up Retro (keepin’ it realllllllll) returns though both Dalton and Rob were not too thrilled with Dee’s first appearance on the show in Celebrity Apprentice 5.

Marilu Henner – The former Taxi star was on the first season of Celebrity Apprentice but neither Dalton or Rob can remember anything Marilu Henner did that was memorable on the show (Though Marilu Henner could probably remember everything that happened since she has a super human memory).

LaToya Jackson – While not a contributor in any way, the Trump favorite from Celebrity Apprentice 4 returns to the show. Donald Trump’s blatant favoritism of LaToya is always sure to upset her teammates. Rob and Dalton approve.

Claudia Jordan – The biggest WTF selection of the cast. Dalton and Rob are hard pressed to even remember that she was on Celebrity Apprentice 2. It turns out that she is a girl from “Deal or No Deal” which we don’t even understand how that classifies her as a Celebrity, let alone a Celebrity Apprentice All-star.

Brande Roderick – Another head scratcher. Brande actually has a Celebrity Apprentice 2 final four appearance under her belt, but she was far more memorable as being the silent alliance mate of Annie Duke than anything she did.

Omarosa – The star of the original Apprentice returns after a stint on Celebrity Apprentice. Dalton is not excited to see her back but Rob believes there may be room for some personal growth after the recent death of her husband, “Green Mile” star Michael Clarke Duncan.

Lisa Rinna – Rob and Dalton actually like this one, even though Lisa was kicked off the Celebrity Apprentice 4 after only two episodes. Lisa could stir up a lot of drama.

Bret Michaels – The winner of Celebrity Apprentice 3 is returning as a player. Rob and Dalton are excited to have him back but really can’t understand why he’s playing while the other winners of the game are going to be appearing as consultants to Donald Trump.

Snubs:

Rob and Dalton go through the list of snubs from the All-star Celebrity Apprentice.

Rob Cesternino talks with Celebrity Apprentice enthusiast Ryan Pappolla about this weeks Celebrity Apprentice Episode which saw the final five trimmed to three after the firing of New Jersey Housewife Teresa Guidice and Lisa Lampanelli. Teresa was fired as the losing project manager this week and Lisa was fired after John Rich and Marlee Matlin (the finalists from last year’s Celebrity Apprentice) returned to give an interview… which apparently Lisa did not do well at. Rob and Ryan break down all the action and predict the final two and who will win the Celebrity Apprentice.
