There is a trap that we keep setting up ourselves for.

We keep thinking that everybody we deal with is like us especially if you have a good heart. Because we are good we think everyone is like us and we treat everyone the way we expect to be treated and when we don’t get that treatment, we are heartbroken, disappointed and hurt.

You can't fight to be loved by someone.

If someone genuinely cares about you and wants you in their life, they will do whatever it takes to keep you there.

If you're confused about how they feel, if they pull you in only to push you away, if what they say troubles your mind or makes you feel misunderstood - then you must let them go.

it took me a long time to realize that not everything is meant to be a beautiful story. Not every person we feel something deep for and moving with is meant to make a home within us. Is meant to be a forever story.

Sometimes people come into our lives to teach us how to love and sometimes people come into our lives to teach us how to not love, how not to settle and how not to shrink ourselves ever again. Sometimes people leave and that's okay
