Sylvia Morales is the mother to 4 year old boy and girl twins. She loves to cook, bake, and make random things like slime and soap with them! There is never a dull moment in her world or kitchen! In addition to her kitchen adventures Sylvia has been teaching yoga for 12 years and practicing for 18. She earned her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas Pan American and she majored in Spanish Literature and double minored in Kinesiology and Film Studies. Sylvia was inspired to become a yoga instructor because the practice of meditation and breath work helped her quit smoking a pack of cigarettes a day and gain a more loving self worth. Through that journey she fell in love with wellness and fitness and her focus is mental, spiritual, emotional fitness to compliment the physical component.
In 2013 she was literally hit by a car while she was walking which led through a transformational journey which brought her to an even deeper gratitude and appreciation for life, love, and laughter. Change truly is the only constant in life, which is why it’s so important to embrace it, learn from it and flow with it, in order to EVOLVE with it. She now dedicates her life to guiding others towards peace, self love & self acceptance through the practice of yoga & self study. "Everybody knows something you don't know; therefore be enriched by your interaction with one another" by Maurice Flournoy
Maurice Flournoy believes a man is literally what he thinks, with his character being a complete sum of his thoughts and of his interactions with the world around him. With his graduate degree and extensive training in the field of psychology, Maurice has gained the knowledge to understand the mind-body connection, and how powerful of a tool it really is in changing one’s perspective and outcome in life. He truly understands the psychology of success. He uses his powerful experiences to motivate people through his speaking engagements to connect, share and teach the masses, leaving his audience energized and more enlightened with the proper tools to improve their lives.
The very first time Maurice spoke in public in 2001, his audience was enthralled and captivated by his presence, giving him the fuel and ambitious drive to continue to motivate people towards success and happiness. His unique approach to inspiring and empowering people is in teaching them the power of their subconscious mind, and how it can work to benefit them.
As a US Navy military veteran, Maurice has used his wisdom to reach out and speak at youth detention centers, men’s prisons, and has had great success with his life inspiring commencement speeches. One of the greatest privileges a speaker could have is giving lessons and life advice to those just beginning their journey after graduation. Maurice’s passion is echoed in his words as he guides the graduates into a new segment of their lives where they can achieve their future goals and receive extreme fulfillment out of their lives
Dana S. Diaz studied journalism and psychology at DePaul University. While there’s no better teacher than life experience and Dana has had life-long experiences with narcissistic abuse, her education did give her the ability to accurately verbalize and express how narcissistic abuse creates confusion and conflict within victims.
Today, Dana is a proud voice for fellow victims who are unable, afraid, or ashamed to share their experiences. She strives to create awareness and understanding to ensure victims are given the support they need to first understand their situation and then begin the healing process. Her first book, chronicling her own abusive marriage that lasted nearly three decades, started as a journal that she hid under the couch cushion in the basement.
When she isn’t speaking out on narcissistic abuse, Dana can be found listening to music by Eric Hutchinson, Elle King, Green Day, Amy Winehouse, Julia Michaels and Taylor Swift. She equally loves her gray Converse shoes (she wears them every day!) and her Toyota FJ Cruiser.
Dana watches the sun rise and set every single day, and enjoys hikes in the woods. She absolutely loves animals for their sensitivity and loving hearts, and has two cats, Kitty Kitty and Tigger. Dana makes her home in Illinois with her husband Doug.
Kent Weishaus is a licensed clinical social worker in private practice in California. He has worked in mental hospitals, community clinics, schools, and served as an adjunct professor at Cal State Los Angeles, teaching social work theory and practice classes to master degree students.
Prior to Kent’s switch to a “helping-profession,” he had a 25-year career in television production, directing and working with many celebrities and actors, writing and producing promotions and teases, interacting with numerous network executives, finance and legal personnel, and supervising hundreds of crew-members.
Kent made this switch as he was becoming aware that much of his work in television production was only adding to the sensory and narrative demands of today’s world in ways that made functioning worse for many viewers. Simultaneous to switching professions Kent began researching how the 21st century culture and environment was eclipsing our development and evolutionary capabilities. His therapeutic style looks at our abstract thinking skills and self-aware consciousness, and how these set us apart from other mammals and give us the ability to collectively adopt the all-encompassing technology, stories and myths that make up today’s world – for better or worse.
Kent’s book, Stop Breaking Down, can be found via his website, kentw.net. It reveals how to step back, take the high ground, observe and understand how overwhelming engagement with 21st century systems interacts with our biological and mental processes, and how best to avoid the resulting overwhelm and crack-up.
