The Eagles backups today proved for the most part why they are in fact just that, with few exceptions. Just a frustrating result especially since the 2 seed was there for the taking. The decision to rest players will be questioned but regardless what was learned was the Eagles have some players who simply can’t play. I go over an extremely frustrating game as the Eagles lost to the Commanders 24-17 and booked a date in Philadelphia with San Francisco next weekend.

The Eagles key starters will not play this week. So I go over who’s playing and who the possible elevations from the practice squad may be. I also go over the Eagles offense and Sirianni’s comments about the offense this week. As always we finish the show with the weekly power rankings.

The Eagles won in Buffalo. That should be a good thing and on paper it is but in execution it was pathetic. This game was almost a carbon copy of what they did 3 months ago against the Bucs which shows you the two guys in charge of running the Eagles offense have learned no lessons. My thoughts on whatever that second half on offense was and another fantastic 55 minutes of defense.

The Eagles can no longer get the 1 seed. So now the question becomes, is the 2 seed worth the risk of injury? The Eagles internally have answered the question and we will all see it play out Sunday in Buffalo. But this show is more about the power rankings because the rankings are now my reflection on who can win the Super Bowl.

The Eagles have 3 steps to make to complete the ultimate goal and today marked the completition of step 1 by winning the NFC East. They did so in spite of the worst player in the entire NFL but regardless the Eagles are now the first team to defend the NFC East and repeat as division champion since the Eagles last did it in 2004. Let’s go over a big win in D.C.
