  • 250: Having a grounded conversation about the health effects of EMFs on HSPs

Hey Soothers! EMFs, HSPs, all the acronyms. Today I'm diving in on how I went from somebody who never once thought or worried about non-native EMFs (the electromagnetic fields and radiation produced by technology, appliances, cell phones, wifi routers, etc) to somebody who has started to see a lot of evidence that they are, at the very least, not helping HSPs thrive. I walk you through my own journey of realization of their effects in my personal life, and also then what I've seen and pieced together in my clients' health stories. Most of the conversation around EMFs I've heard has either been panicked and fear-mongering, or judgmental and condescending (that they can't possibly have an effect and anybody who thinks so is a conspiracy theorist) and I think there is a space for a middle ground to think about them and I hope to provide that for you today.

If you're interested in learning about to meaningfully reduce EMFs in your life plus other health benefits from nature, geared toward the HSP, sign up for the waitlist for Recharge Your Light. You'll get $200 off the course cost and also will be invited to join a free 5-day Recharge Challenge I'm hosting in June. Recharge Your Light opens for earlybird enrollment June 3, and we begin class June 20. You can easily take this class self-paced so don't worry about needing to attend live for it.

  • 249: What your voltage has to do with your health

Hey Soothers, I'm excited to announce my next brand-new course, the HSP health course many of you have been asking for for some time: Recharge Your Light! Starting June 20th, it's a six-week course and community that will help you stop feeling drained and reclaim your energy, your light, and your vitality through holistic principles of nature, circadian rhythms, environment, and diet. Get on the waitlist here for $200 off and access to a free live HSP circadian living training I'll be doing.

To help you understand why the tenets in Recharge Your Light are so important to your health as an HSP, today I talk about how and why the human body is a battery system, made of a special kind of water, and charged by light and earth. When our voltage is high and charged? Our health should be pretty good. When it's low or drained? Health conditions and issues may manifest. Listen on for what we can do in simple and easy ways to charge our body's battery so we can have optimal HSP health.

  • 248: 7 ways to help menstrual health as a highly sensitive person (menopause, perimenopause, PMDD, etc.)

Hey Soothers, I recently put up a question box to do a Q&A podcast (coming soon, submit your Qs here!) but a lot of the Qs I got were around hormonal issues - PMDD, peri-menopause, menopause, so I figured, why not just record an episode with all of my tips for how I have (mostly) healed my severe period symptoms and hormonal issues? And how I'm working to thrive through perimenopause and set up the path for a healthy menopause? So I did! Listen in for these 7 tips. Know they're not medical advice, but rather the (hard-won) lessons from somebody who started out with really horrible PMDD, went into peri-menopause at 38, and now at 44, is feeling, genuinely, better than ever.

  • 247: Are you living a high-voltage or a low-voltage lifestyle?

Hey Soothers! I'm here to talk about our well-being and our bodies as electrical systems (which, spoiler alert, they really are!). This is why so many of us feel "drained" or "burned out" — in a way, we can think of our bodies as batteries, or lights. Some of us are well-charged and shining bright, and some of us are on our last 5% and feeling the effects. So how can we go from living low-voltage, tired, drained, to high-voltage, feeling vibrant and grounded? I talk about practical ways to start living a high-voltage life and share how I incorporate them in my day-to-day, too.

Also inside the Sunday Soother Membership in April we're talking all things getting unstuck. Sign up for $33 for a New Moon Journal Circle, a Tarot Teaching Circle, and a workbook with all my practices for getting unstuck (cancel anytime).

  • 243: How can you manifest or be spiritual if you have aphantasia?

Have you ever heard of the term aphantasia? Aphantasia is a relatively unstudied phenomenon that involves not being able to visualize images in your mind. Reportedly about 3% of the population have this condition, and I'm one of them.

I didn't realize til my late 30s that this was even a thing; I was shocked to find out that most people had the ability to go around doing what essentially sounded like hallucination to me. (I learned about it, as many people did at the time, from this article.) As I read more about how most people can easily visualize or play movies or images in their mind, I grew jealous, especially as I got more into spirituality and manifestation. A huge component of manifestation, meditation and other spiritual practices is often the ability to visualize your desires, or other images, in your mind's eye. I've also been told many times by random people that I'm psychic, but how can somebody be psychic if they can't see, you know, psychic images in their mind's eye?

Over time, I've figured out my own ways to tune into spiritual practices that work for me, even though I can't visualize. And that's what I'm sharing about today! Even if you don't have aphantasia, tune in, because these tactics can help everybody deepen their spiritual practices.

I'm hosting a free 3 weeks within the Sunday Soother Membership in March, with 6 free new classes to attend. Sign up for that here.

Hey Soothers! Today I share a life and biz update, especially around the upcoming revamped Sunday Soother membership! I'm hosting a free 3 weeks within the Sunday Soother Membership, with 6 free new classes to attend. Sign up for that here.

But also in this podcast, I share examples of how failures aren't failures, they are literally part of the process on the way to the eventual achievement of your goal. I share a few examples from my own life — from quitting drinking, to biz examples — and hopefully inspire you to think about your perceived failures simply as inevitable parts of your path.

  • 241: How are you already the thing you're desiring to become?

I know a lot of you are motivated, you desire to work and live more into your purpose, and you also may struggle with impostor syndrome or an inner critic. You may feel far away from what you would like to become or be. So today I talk about the importance of consciously finding evidence every day about how you are ALREADY the thing or person you are desiring to be, right now, right in front of you, and I share a couple of stories to ground this concept.
