Bike brands tend to follow semi-regular update schedules, so with a few popular models getting long in the tooth, we’re expecting new versions to appear this year.
It’s also an Olympic year, and so perhaps we’ll see a few new XC race bikes propped up in the pits as the season starts, ready for a full release as the Paris Games get a little closer.

SRAM's new Red AXS groupset is claimed to be the world's lightest electronic disc brake road bike groupset, saving 154g versus the previous generation. 

Priced from around £4,090 / $4,090 / €4,135, the groupset is fully wireless, with a new lever and hood design, increased brake adjustability, and improved braking performance from the hoods. Front shifting is also claimed to be faster and smoother.
