The Newplex Podcast

The gang chat about Vanity Fair's exclusive Star Wars: Episode IX photos to open this week's edition of the Team Newplex Podcast. Plus, Jads introduces his new segment "An Idiot Tries to do Film Theory", and we remember Micheal Sheen's wondrous Twilight laugh. Speaking off Twilight, rumour has it Edward Cullen himself (Robert Battinson) is set to play Batman in the upcoming Matt Reeve's film. Yup, it's another Jads cries over DC episode...

The latest from AEW kicks off this episode of the Team Newplex Podcast with Jads and Charles. Listen in amazement as Jads takes us on a tangent about the differences between American and British television delivery systems which lasts far longer than the AEW news itself. Also this week, Jads' Pokémon: Detective Pikachu review, The Matrix 4, David Benioff and D.B. Weiss' Star Wars movies, and a Harry Potter-inspired fan-theory for how Theon Greyjoy could regain his wang...

Not to toot or own horns or anything, but we just keep nailing these Marvel Cinematic Universe theories, huh? The spoiler-laden trailer for Spider-Man: Far From Home has dropped, and it seems to confirm pretty much everything we guessed about the all-new MCU multiverse. Also on this episode, Jads, JOPO, and Charles talk AEW's ITV partnership, and the now infamous Sonic the Hedgehog trailer.

Jads and Charles host as they reel from the colossal events of Avengers: Endgame. But it looks like Marvel still ain't done yet, as we look back at our multiverse theory and see if it still stacks up (it does)...

Last week saw the trailer and title reveal for Star Wars Episode IX (The Rise of Skywalker) which gives Jads, JOPO, and Charles plenty to talk about in this second-take edition of the Team Newplex Podcast. We discuss our favourite theories, including an insane Palpatine AI (aka Pappa Palps), the return of Anakin, and Force tai chi. We also cover Disney+ series The Mandalorian, and EA's promising new game, Jedi: The Fallen Order.

Jads, JOPO, and Ben get hyped up for WrestleMania 35 in this bonus episode of the Team Newplex Podcast. There's a hell of a lot of awesome wrestling to talk about, but - owing to time - we're just covering the incredible-looking NXT TakeOver: New York and the... long WrestleMania 35. The gang also reacts to the John Oliver piece on WWE from Last Week Tonight, and we look forward to some surprises on this year's Showcase of the Immortals.

The gang are joined by professional wrestler, promoter, and action performer Olly Lloyd to chat the latest in the nerdy news. Disney reveals Deadpool is the only Fox Marvel franchise they plan to keep, James Gunn returns to direct Guardians of the Galaxy 3 while still going ahead with DC's strange Suicide Squad reboot - and in the meantime, Batista returns to WWE. Plus there's a new trailer for Avengers Endgame, and Olly tells us his new wrestling company.

SPOILERS! Jads, JOPO, and Charles paid their local multiplex a visit last week to see the latest *Blockbuster* (lol) from Marvel Studios, the terribly named Captain Marvel, starring Brie Larson, Samuel L Jackson, and Ben Mendelsohn! Find out what the gang thought of Marvel's latest offering in this special edition of the Team Newplex Podcast.

Jads, Charles, and JOPO talk Star Wars prequels, Ready Player One, ugly modern cars, WWE's ECW revival, Arrow's announced ending and looking ahead to Captain Marvel (which we've not seen yet). Also, Jads and Charles pitch their idea for an amazing new TV show (coming soon to Netflix...). Also, listen out for details of our awesome AEW Double or Nothing ticket giveaway!

This week on the Team Newplex Podcast, Jads, Charles, and JOPO discuss Captain Marvel, how to fix the Power Rangers movie franchise, Aquaman 2, WWE's recent leavers, and the Paige movie (Fighting with my Family). Plus, we reveal our epic giveaway competition: A TICKET FOR AEW DOUBLE OR NOTHING! Listen to find out how to enter, and visit TheNewplex.com for all the details!
