Ecuador
In Ecuador, president Novoa extended the state of emergency for sixty days in 10 of the country's 24 provinces as well as three other localities, arguing that a serious internal disturbance persists due to acts of violence recorded throughout the nation. With this decree, Ecuador accumulates nearly nine hundred days under some form of emergency regime since the right wing pro US neoliberal Daniel Noboa began his government despite the fact that he has not managed to fulfill his campaign promise of putting an end to insecurity.
Venezuela
Venezuela's Acting President, Delcy Rodríguez, led the signing of a memorandum of understanding between Petróleos de Venezuela, PDVSA, and the Spanish company Repsol. The leader stated that the agreement seeks to promote foreign investment and continue driving the growth of Venezuela's hydrocarbon sector.
Iran
Iran's armed forces are promising a strong response to Israel if it continues its attacks on Lebanon, which have been recorded over the last two days. Since the recent start of the conflict, Israeli bombings have left more than 3,700 dead on Libanis territory.
