With all the media spotlight on illegal immigration, there hasn't been an equal light shown on the students already legally in the US who are struggling to graduate high school and go on to higher education. Why the disparity in activism? The numbers of students, especially Black and Latino graduating is slowly climbing, yet the numbers of those not completing high school is still horrific.
