I took last week off again due to an unfortunate event in which I was left concussed. I thought this episode would be a good chance to talk about something that is often overlooked when we think about fellow humans, our loved ones, and friends. This thing called "head trauma," "CTE," or "Post concussion syndrome," is a prevalent factor in the behavior of human beings and it should be widely considered when we think about people as "good" or "bad." In my life I've suffered a few concussions, and have had at least 3 specific ones that impacted my behavior and cognitive function over time. This most recent one really woke me up to what was going on and so I thought I'd share what it was like to recognize it within an hour after the incident and then going down a rabbit hole of information on the subject.
