Tony Felice is an expert on how to build a better brand and is the Founder of a Phoenix based Brand and Marketing Firm, Felice and Whitney. Before becoming a huge success Felice had an unexpected battle with a health mystery that nearly took his life.
Felice was diagnosed with Lyme disease after a two year struggle of specialist doctors telling him there was nothing wrong with him. He battled with depression, weight problems and even thoughts of suicide.
"To the point where your convincing yourself to hang on for the next moment, not the next day but the next moment." Felice says.
When Felice finally received his diagnosis of Lyme disease he felt a wave of relief. With this disease, he still has symptoms but now he has an answer.
"What you put your attention on, it grows." Felice says.
Felice says his medical condition was a gift because it pushed him to grow. He took a hardship in his life and manifested it into something amazing.
His firm, Felice and Whitney focuses on Authentic brand building, which means telling the truth.
"If you have courage and compassion, then you're going to go real far." Felice says.
Felice explains if you are going to have courage and compassion, you have to push your ego way down. People need to identify their "why". People need to have that reason why they are doing something.
Personal brand building is also very important at Felice and Whitney because it shows what kind of person you are and what mark you will leave on the world. Felice focuses on personal brand building by staying true to your own life. Social media is very important and can show a lot about a person and their personal brand.
"Understand who your audience is, so your more impactful, be true to who it is that you are and be mindful of that everywhere especially online." Felice says.

Joelle Hadley-Alexander, President of the Culture Coaches, has all the tips for living a mindful, happy life and shares her tools to maximize the time you have by being intentional.
Hadley had "re-potted" herself as a Culture Coach after being the in the media for many years. The idea of culture came after her father passed. She then began soul searching and realized she wanted to create a great place to work, where work and fun were core values.
"I focused on creating a great place to work. What do the employees want? What do you need for resources? What do you need to succeed? Then I provided it. We worked hard but we had a lot of fun." Hadley says.
Emotional intelligence is a key in being happy. Hadley explains two main factors of emotional intelligence; Resiliency and Authenticity. Resiliency is the ability to get back up after something really tough and Authenticity being human and being imperfect.
Hadley teaches work places how to be authentic and be less stressful. She says that getting out stress at work helps control impulses. A good way to combat stress and negativity is Hadley's Four Letter Tip:
S.O.S.S.
S- Stop the thoughts that make you angry.
O- Oxygenate, taking deep breathes. (Hadley says yoga helps her)
S- Strengthen your heart. (thoughts of gratitude, happy places, lowers stress hormones and increases an anti-aging hormone called DHEA)
S- Seek information; ask good questions. (get curious instead of getting frustrated)
Hadley says she is very conscious about doing things that release happy hormones. Creating mindfulness can be made from small moments such as quiet time for a few minutes a day. The little rituals throughout the day, such as taking a break, that build up instead of doing something impulsive.
"You don't have to move to an island, you don't have to quit your job," Hadley says "It's not a major change in your life."

"Believe in miracles because they happen and they're real." Tim Hattrick says.
Tim Hattrick, KNIX Morning show host, stays positive in the lowest points, even after loosing his entire life savings.
Hattrick started his career knowing exactly what he wanted to do ever since a young age, he wanted to be a radio host. He was a well-known radio personality in the Valley with his co-host and friend Willy, on KNIX. Hattrick and Willy worked together on different shows for about 25 years and had become close friends.
"I can't believe we had that much success for that long, because we really just had a great time. We were just like two buddies who talked to each other and people seemed to like that." Hattrick says.
After being at KNIX for 10 years, Hattrick and Willy had decided they would venture out create their own company, using all of Hattrick's retirement savings. He says it was fun and they could make money but after awhile they decided it was time to pull the plug in 2014. The two friends split ways and Hattrick was left with an empty retirement savings.
"I was never scared." Hattrick says. "I thought, I'll find a job."
Even after loosing it all, Hattrick never gave up on applying to jobs. He applied to 1000 jobs in 4 years. Being humbled by the lack of job opportunities, he decided to take part time jobs such as Uber, Amazon and UPS.
Hattrick was inspired by the stories he heard while driving for Uber, amazed by the capacity of Amazon and was intrigued by his experience at UPS. Hattrick always kept a positive attitude.
"If you kind of keep your eyes open for the interesting and different parts of life around you, it kind of sustained me that way." Hattrick says.
While on a shift for UPS, Hattrick received an interesting text from the Vice President of KNIX and was later offered a position back at the radio station.
"I knew it was right in my soul and I said I'm in no matter what." Hattrick says.
Hattrick believes he gravitated to things he liked even though they weren't his dream job. Using your skills and staying positive can lead you in the right direction.
"I'm inspired by people who made it, lost it all, made it again." Hattrick says.

McCann first learned about mindfulness while in labor for 35 hours without medication. She had to allow mindfulness to overcome her through the harshest of times.
"I have never experienced as much control as I had at that time." McCann says.
Jane McCann has since taught her son mindfulness to set him up for success in school, work and the rest of his life. Since the time McCann gave birth to her children she has known mindfulness would be a big factor in her life.
"You can tone everything down, you can self-regulate." Jane McCann says. "Everyone has to regulate with-in the family."
Jane McCann's son was showing signs of ADHD in school and after receiving McCann's son's diagnosis and seeing the side effects of the prescription, McCann decided to use mindfulness as a tool to help her son overcome obstacles instead of prescription medication.
"There's 286 known side effects to ADHD medication, that study has just come out." Jane McCann says. "Side effects are very real."
McCann says because she didn't want to use the medication, she couldn't do nothing. That is where mindfulness comes into play. McCann says you have to be responsible if you don't use medication, you have to find other ways to find a solution such as mindfulness.
She advises to take a closer look to anyone experiencing signs of ADHD because it could be something else manifesting. McCann says according to research, ADHD is usually a symptom of something deeper.
Jane McCann says her son has learned how his brain works and how he reacts in certain situations because of mindfulness.
Jane McCann says mindfulness is giving back control into the family.
