Thedrifterluke, AKA Luke Abbott, is a folk singer-songwriter based in Seattle, WA. Following in the footsteps of influences like Bob Dylan and Jackson Browne, Thedrifterluke's songs incorporate old truisms from a unique and fresh perspective.
The son of evangelical missionaries, Luke Abbott traveled frequently as a child, moving from California, Texas, Colorado, Japan, and New Mexico, eventually settling in Washington by age 9. He loved music from an early age singing bluegrass/gospel tunes with his family in church performance. By age 15, Luke began to focus more and more of his time to writing and creating original songs.
With songs tackling ideas like addiction, faith, regret, expectation versus reality, and the seasons of life, Thedrifterluke's music sheds a fresh and compelling light on the human condition.
