After having a week to digest... it's now time to talk Blackcaps cricket again. In the NRL, Canterbury Cup and Jersey Flegg, New Zealand Warriors won. That's pretty cool, especially considering that all three teams had plenty of niggly ins and outs for their respective squads. Had to do it, had to preview the Cricket World Cup final - New Zealand's second in a row - as we chat about the keys to victory for the Blackcaps, the way the team has evolved since 2015, the greatness of Ross & Kane, as well as a hefty triple intro of some Kiwi NRL prospects on the move, Sarpreet Singh's leap to Bayern Munich, and the Westbrook trade for the OKC Thunder in the NBA.

It took two days, it took a grinding batting effort, it took some quality bowling and it took some brilliant fielding but the Blackcaps beat India to advance to a second Cricket World Cup final. We talk how things broke right to give the Caps the exact style of game we needed, how Martin Guptill was able to be a difference maker in the field, how Mitch Santner and Matt Henry found ideal conditions, and how it turns out those three defeats on the trot really didn't mean anything, aye?

It's been a weird old journey, this one. The Blackcaps are about where they deserve to be, which is nestled nicely in the middle, but they've gone from one extreme to the other to get there. We chat on whether the lads are overthinking things because of a lack of confidence, whether they're maybe closer to being competitive than it feels right now, and if maybe Kane and Steady are too similar as personalities.

New Zealand Warriors kinda suck. They lost to Penrith Panthers, plus there has been plenty of action in the NRLW as teams suss their squads and that means our #KiwiNRL wahine are being snapped up. Finishing with the usual notebook of #KiwiNRL matters that tickled the toes from round 15.
