  • B² - Then and Now

This week on The Night Shift, Jon Wayne sits down with B² for his first appearance on the show. A retired New York Department of Corrections Lieutenant from upstate New York, B² brings plenty of personality, experience, and stories to the conversation.

Jon and B² shoot the shit about some of B²’s funniest personal stories, including the infamous convertible and cornfield stories, before turning toward corrections and how the workforce has changed over the past 25 years.

They talk about old-school work ethic, accountability, today’s workforce, generational differences, and the things that have changed in corrections while some things never seem to change.

It’s funny, honest, and completely conversational.

And this is only the beginning. B² will be back for a special Night Shift episode commemorating the 25th anniversary of September 11th.

  • The Guy Behind the Music

This week on The Night Shift, Jon Wayne sits down with PointBreak, the man behind the music that helps give the show its sound.

PointBreak takes us behind the DJ booth to talk about where the name came from, how he got started, the realities of putting on an event, equipment failures, unforgettable moments, and the power music has to become part of people’s biggest memories.

But this conversation goes beyond DJing. We get to know the person behind PointBreak, hear some life lessons, and find out what keeps him doing what he does.

And there’s a little extra meaning to this episode: PointBreak isn’t just a guest. He’s been part of The Night Shift from behind the scenes, helping with the intro, outro, ideas, and encouragement that helped get the podcast off the ground.

So tonight, we finally meet the guy behind the music.

  • Lessons they don’t teach you..

Life has a funny way of teaching lessons when you least expect them. In Episode 3, Jon Wayne takes a step back and talks about the experiences, mistakes, people, and moments that shape who we become. Some lessons come with laughter, some come the hard way, and some take years before we finally understand them.

  • More Than the Job

Life doesn’t stop when your shift ends.

In this episode of The Night Shift, Jon Wayne steps away from the job itself and talks about the lessons that follow us home. From pride and patience to accountability and perspective, this conversation is about the battles we all face, whether we wear a badge, steel-toe boots, scrubs, or a business suit.

With plenty of humor, relatable stories, and honest reflection, Episode 2 is a reminder that everyone is carrying something, that strength sometimes means walking away, and that the people waiting for us at home deserve our best, not what’s left of us.

Because no matter what you do for a living… we all have a night shift.
