I had the idea to start sharing a series of NikStarr Wild Stories.  

I have MANY.  

I have an extremely eclectic life and my past is so profoundly contrasting to my last decade and this one is shaping up to be as diverse.

 A few days ago I was awashed with memories of my oldest friend that I have known since birth and meandered through our story, our parallel lives, the insane moments they crisscrossed and what an extraordinary friendship it’s been.  We played on the edges of life and we visited in the most unusual of scenarios and both our stories went in the most unexpected avenues that either of us could never have imagined.  So I sought him out and found the ending of this season.
 An honour and blessing it’s all been.

I am in awe and the deepest of gratitude sharing this part of my life with you.

What a healthy self relationship looks like and how it ripples into people around you.  Imagine never self betraying and having complete trust in self. 

Experiencing enough care that you have more than enough energy and how that actually allows you to be of more quality service to others.

I’ve been a mother as long as I have not.  Last week my daughter turned 26, the age that I was when I had her.  I talk this week of my mothering journey and the fact that these days the Return on Investment in children isn’t quite what it used to be, funny fact that one, I use my role as mother as a huge module in my evolution intentionally which for me is priceless.

Oops a little late today. Life Happens and it's been a big busy week with second born visiting and many life things occurring.  There's another big shift moving in our life and it's both thrilling and A LOT.  With a house full and many moving parts I've been out of my routines and therefore the podcast was a little late.  But here we are and onwards we go.

I’ve seen the overuse of the word Depression a lot in society these days and how so many people talk about being Depressed or experiencing Depression for a day or shortish time and in truth that's not what is going on, yet the normalisation of the word is so vast.  I share my personal experience with clinical depression in the past and talk candidly about it all, as well as ways to understand feelings and emotions that come and go, that may feel like one may call depression but is actually something else.  It's a very important conversation.

Life feels super hectic often and time feels like it flies constantly, the year goes by in the blink of an eye.  There’s so much going on and so much mind identification that keeps us in the hustle lane.  Our bodies are always on high alert and our nervous systems are always trying to process all the activity and bombardment of hyperspeed.  The collective exhaustion is palpable.  So let’s start stretching time with awareness.

I had a glorious teachable moment with my son last week and we talked about Anxiety, as he came across it in his friend group and didn't actually know what it was, we talked about how to deal with overwhelm and life skills, it was a beautiful conversation that I feel you will enjoy and perhaps get some insight from.
