The full conversation was originally released on March 22, 2021. My friend Trey spoke so candidly about a season of hurt and loss in his family that I hope will encourage you.

He's also a husband, father of 3 beautiful girls, and he pours concrete to make ends meet. Being a young pastor in a new church is something he knew was in his future from the time he was 12 years old. He will be the first to tell you that he still has so much to learn but he is in it for the long haul.

This episode takes you behind the police crime scene tape into situations where people are in need of someone who can show great compassion and care. My guest, Jared Altic, is a chaplain with the Kansas City, Kansas Police Department. He's also a pastor at Wyandotte County Christian Church.

Anyone in this kind of work has to rely on a calling to be present for people who might be dealing with their worst day ever, as well as being available to police officers who are in the trenches trying to keep the peace and solve horrendous crimes.

In this episode, you will meet Josh Roberie. He started life as a kid who loved God so much that he was, quite literally, in church every time the doors opened. That continued into high school and college.

After taking a position at his church as the youth pastor, he started to feel the affects of that constant pull to be involved and be present at everything that was happening at the church, and the more he was there, the less he was present for his family... and something had to change.
