The Normal Effect

In this episode, Marlie and Lee have invited their partners on to talk about Happy, Sad, Embarrassing and Normal times within a relationship (that you go through together). If you're in touch with your emotions, you may want to grab a tissue as our very own Marlie sits in the hot seat this week and talks very openly about her life and the struggles that came with growing up. Of course, we go into other silly topics - even talking about bogeys......nothing but maturity here folks!We also welcome Marlie's partner and Lee's Brother (same person!) as our 'Ghost Host' and within minutes, you get to see what their relationship is like.Enjoy!

The ever-popular delight that is Elaine ('The Pain') comes in to talk about times in her life that have been very up and very down. Here, we talk about the value of having a close family, the sadness of loss, and the funniness of being caught in a lift with someone you've just embarrassed yourself in front of.

After our catch-up, we decide to look at a theory that is used in Counselling sometimes known as The Drama Triangle. This looks at dysfunctional social interactions and illustrates a power game that involves three roles....three roles that we can all fall in to easily sometimes. Having an awareness of these roles and our part in them helps us hopefully create better outcomes.
