Pursuing success has little to do with business. Pursuing success in all areas of your life should be your ultimate goal. Let this be your motivation for a successful 2019 and thereafter. Being a fighter, there are many battles. On the most part, the general public doesn’t see what a business owner goes through behind closed doors. What is behind closed doors is not for the general public to see nor should really be any of their concern.Given what circumstances lead people to where in life; each person seeking success cannot just look toward success in business. They have to look toward success also in the other sections of their lives. 1) Success in health: eating right for your body type, exercising and staying mobile.2) If you are a parent, Success in child-rearing: Everyone has their own distinct style in how they raise their children, but having the basic needs of children met can be deemed as highly difficult. Add business-ownership. 3) Success in other familial relationships: maintaining intimate relationships with your significant other, family members outside of your children (or other immediate family members), and nurturing your friendships.4) Success in managing these areas together: It’s great to have all of the above in place, but if you have these in place and they don’t coincide, then what is it all for? You could have the perfect eating plan, centered around healthy eating, but what if you don’t incorporate that eating plan into meals for your entire family?You could also have the perfect business plan all set up and ready to go. However, if you don’t have the management skills to properly manage said business, how good will your success in that business be?In 2019, I want us all to walk away with an understanding that success does not fall on the shoulders of the way you operate your business alone. Too often, people will judge their life’s worth based on how good their job is going, or if they are a business-owner, how successful their business is. Did you know that the signature of AJ Robot*, the mascot of AJ Whittenberg Elementary School was notarized today?  Weird, isn’t it?  Just when you thought only the signatures of people could be signed for…

Just kidding.

However, a Very Important Parent’s signature was notarized today at my son’s school.  It pays to have a fellow parent who can also assist you with your document needs, right?

Due to the privacy of the situation, no further details will be disclosed.  But parent, thank you for calling on me for notary service today!

The selected speaker for the evening, Stephanie Acker Founder & Chief Experience Designer of In the Know Upstate. Stephanie provided information on Social Media aids to assist business in their fight through marketing and provided apps and other tools to make our jobs as Social Media marketers easier.

So, with the Summer months comes travel to exotic places.  Sometimes, that travel involves getting there by motor vehicle.  Although many people rent vehicles to travel, a choice selection of us use our own vehicles, especially if we are traveling short distances.

Now comes travel in someone else’s vehicle. Let us say for instance you are the parent of a college student who is traveling to meet some friends in another state.  Yes, they are on the insurance policy, but what happens next wasn’t expected.  Say the travel is to Ohio and you live in South Carolina? Say your child is partying at a new night spot in Ohio and your precious car gets towed.

Ownership of the vehicle is in your name, not in your child’s name. Chances are, you will have to sign a release for or Owner’s Affidavit in order for your vehicle to be released to your relative up there in Ohio.

This is where a Notary Public comes in.  Usually the tow yard will accept an Owner’s Affidavit from the owner of the vehicle, signed by them, signature notarized by a notary public, then faxed over to the tow yard. There are some tow yards that see it so often, they have their own forms to complete and a fax line dedicated to receiving these forms.
