Aja Aguirre, Canadian shotstopper for Nottingham Forest Football Club Women's team, is the latest guest to join host Dan Kerry on The Nottingham Panthers' Audio Experience.

Aja and some of her teammates got to come down to watch the Panthers practice towards the backend of the, now cancelled, 2019/20 season and she starts off by talking about that experience as they capped the session off by getting onto the ice themselevs to take some shots at netminder Jackson Whistle.

The conversation then shifts to whether it was always football, or soccer, for Aja who grew up in Canada before making the move over the pond or if there were other sports, such as ice hockey, that also captured her attention.

Aja worked at Rogers Arena in Vancouver during the 2014 Winter Olympics that saw Canada win a thrilling final over the USA and she talks about what it was like in the city during that time and what it was like being in the arena at that gold medal game.

With a total of five years in a Panthers' jersey the big French-Canadian has a ton of stories to tell, starting with how he ended up to Nottingham after originally signing for the Hull Stingrays back in the summer of 2010.

Gui talks about his first three years with team, during which he won seven out of nine available trophies, including his brief departure from the team to pursue opportunities in North America only for the NHL lockout to scupper those plans before a spot back in Nottingham opened up after Player/Coach Corey Neilson's season ending injury.

The #28 then talks about making the jump to the States once again, where he ended up playing 167 games in the AHL over a five year span, before a trip to Mexico started the wheels spinning on a return to the black & gold of the Panthers for the 2018/19 season.

Ryan has been involved in the Elite League for the better part of 14 seasons starting as player for the Sheffield Steelers from 2007 to 2009 before moving to Cardiff for two seasons. He then moved back to Sheffield as Player/Head Coach (2011/12) and Head Coach (2012/13).

After Sheffield he spent four seasons as Head Coach of the Glasgow Clan before his move to the Manchester Storm, as General Manager/Head Coach, in 2017 where he is currently planning for his fourth season at the helm of the Altrincham outfit.

The native of Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada talks through what brought him to the United Kingdom, his time as a player, transitioning to being a coach, what he's learned since going behind the bench and his battles with the Panthers throughout his time in the Elite League.
