This week: Preston checks out "We Are Billions" and gets our input on how we feel about skill tree progression in games, Kyle is building a gaming PC, spending his time dropping into "Warzone's" new Rebirth Island mini-royale, and rediscovers the fun that is Battlefront 2. And rounding out the very end is Travis finally taking part in the pirate adventures in "Sea of Thieves" and rediscovering a classic Rare title: Banjo-Tooie.

Welcome to another wonderful episode of The NPCs weekly topic, for the week of November 28th 2020. Last week, we spent 2 hours breaking down and debating 21 video games we felt were worthy of the final 10 spots for Top Stories in Video Games. Now, this week, we've taken the time to look at the stories further and are ready to finish the fight & settle this topic. Welcome to Part 2 everyone!

Butterfly in the sky, I can go twice as high... take a look, it's in a book... or is it? Games have evolved greatly over the last 20-25 years, from the sprites of yore to the dynamic, ray-traced environments that make you wonder if you're looking at a game or if it feels like it could be real life. One of those parts that has also evolved with video games have been the stories. From the comically tragic demise of Gruntilda the Witch in Banjo Kazooie to the "Would You Kindly?" scrawled on the walls of Rapture in Bioshock - you can't deny that the writers and storytellers at the developers we've come to know and love are expanding their horizons and bringing a much greater depth to the medium that is Video Games. If you haven't guessed yet, this week's topic is Top Stories in Video Games!
