1999 bargain basement classic SIMON SEZ is proof NBA basket ballers should not act or headline a studio backed motion picture, Dennis Rodman plays Simon, an undercover, on the move but inconspicuous (yeh right) Interpol action man on the beat in France in the mix to stop an arms dealer.

The cross dressing power forward is Joined at the hip by new friend, old friend, i can’t really work it out Nick Miranda played by the equally untalented (in this film anyway) Dane Cook. We find out he was in Simon’s CIA training course but got kicked out for whatever reason, it does not matter.

The senseless plot rolls around into blank obscurity, the screenwriters seem to have come out of a shredding machine and pasted back together.

Philip goes back to his office, and is promptly given an eviction notice by his landlord, Stanley. Philip has two employees, the neurotic Mrs. Munchnik, and the overly compassionate Catherine. He doesn’t tell them about the eviction because it’s Christmas.

The group receives many calls during the day from the depressed, lonely, and crazy. Also lurking somewhere in town is the “Seaside Strangler” who is setting all the ladies on edge.

Super Mario Bros. 30-Second Summary

Once long ago a meteor crashed into earth and we all thought it wiped out dinosaurs. Little did we know the meteor split our reality into two sending the dinosaurs to an alternate earth where they evolved much like we did. In fact they just look human.

So in a movie that looks nothing like, and frankly has very little in common with, the video game from which it took it’s inspiration, two Italian plumbers named Mario and Luigi (played by Bob Hoskins and John Leguizamo) must rescue Luigi’s new love interest who just so happens to be a stowaway dino person on our world from President Koopa (played by Dennis Hopper) after she is kidnapped and taken there.

Princess Daisy (Samantha Mathis) holds the only missing piece to the meteor which when made whole would thrust our realities back together. Koopa wants this to happen so he can conquer our world with his zany style, jumping boots, pinhead dinosaurs and fireball spitting guns that cannot hit a target.

Mario and Luigi are able after sorta doing nothing for the entire film to save the princess. Mojo Nixon has a small role which is pretty awesome just fast forward to 30 minutes in exactly. Chris Thorne is a financial publisher living in New York City who meets attorney Diane Lightson. She gets him to drive her to Atlantic City to yell at her ex-boyfriend, Bruce. Chris’ two clients, the Brazillionaire brother and sister Fausto and Renalda overhear their plans, and invite themselves along.

During the drive, Chris is pushed into taking a scenic detour which takes them to the little town of Valkenvania. He runs a stop sign in the shady town which gets everyone arrested by officer Dennis Valkenheiser. He takes them to his grandfather, the 106-year-old Judge Alvin Valkenheiser, and he gives the group a speedy trial. The Judge confiscates their ids and their lives.

The Brazillionaires manage to escape by striking a deal with Dennis to let him come along with them back to Rio. Chris is forced to marry Dennis’ mute twin sister Eldona while Diane plays cards with the Judge’s deformed grandchildren Bobo and Lil’ Debbull.

Opening in present day Tibet we see a chrome-dome kid being kidnapped from his Himalayan hideaway by a trio of strange henchmen led by well dressed Charles Dance but not before the kid brings a bird back to life which actually follows him across the globe.
