Justification comes to us first by imputation and second by impartation. Imputation begins when our faith is legitimized by obedience. You can have works without faith, but can you have faith without works? The apostle James tells us that “faith without works is dead faith.” Our faith is proven by obedience to God and the works he has prepared for us to do.
