OneWildWalnut has been a household name since Season 1. This IRL college basketball player turned 2KL All Star took the league by storm…during the regular season. Because despite a couple of tournament wins across his first four years…he's fallen short of his 2KL Championship aspirations.
But Season 5 brings new hope. He's reuniting with his longtime running mate, Mama Im Dat Man, in Sacramento where they hope to finally win that elusive chip together.
DUX Gaming is coming into the NBA 2K League's 2022 season as an expansion team - the 24th team to be added. The first NBA 2K League team in Latin America – DUX will represent Mexico – added three players to its roster during the Expansion Draft. avemario, a 2KL vet who's also a member of their own European Pro-Am 2K team…Lord Beezus, a longtime player most recently with Season 4 runner up, Jazz Gaming…And, Killey, a pro who stormed the League as a replacement player last season. The NBA 2K League isn't a popularity contest. If it was, Splashy would have won multiple championships. But, while loved by many, and despite trading in his signature sense of humor for trash talk during his Season 4 postseason run...he can only boast of a second place finish in the Finals. Now, his team - Jazz Gaming - is one of the teams to beat during Season 5...if not "the" team. Can he get them over the hump?
ShiftyKaii's NBA 2K League career has been defined by his ability to keep pushing. When he didn't make the draft pool Season 2, he grinded...and was eventually chosen 5th overall in the Season 3 Draft. When he didn't shoot the rock as well as some thought he should've and was subsequently traded after Season 3, he grinded. Come Season 4, he earned himself an NBA 2K League MVP nomination, as well as the very first All Star Game MVP trophy. He's a walking testament to the mantra...Never give up.
Dayfri's first two seasons in the NBA 2K League were tumultuous. After Season One when Mavs Gaming, his hometown team, traded him to Wizards DG and the losses started to once again pile up, he questioned his own skill as a high level 2K player. But then...Washington turned it around, thanks in large part to his leadership. Now, after back-to-back championships and multiple MVP nominations, he's solidified his standing as a star in the League. In this episode, he takes us through his journey...one full of adversity and strength...on his way to achieving NBA 2K League history.

Thanks to some big name athletes stepping up and telling their stories, we’re finally having conversations about mental health for athletes … but there are so many stories you don’t hear. Our guest in this episode has battled more off the court than on it. He’s not homeless, but was without a home, had a tough upbringing, and has had to work on himself more than even he realized … but out of it he’s also an NBA 2K League champion and, thanks to the league, has found a family ... literally. It's time to meet Idris.
Cody Parrent has been with the NBA 2K League since day 1 as the architect of Pacers Gaming’s team, widely regarded as one of the nicest guys in the league. Cody is a methodical, quiet, strategist … and his teams have been real close, but he’s never had that complete unit. Until he drafted 630, a young man who had dreams of playing on the hardcourt until a knee injury sidelined his IRL career. But 630's basketball IQ has translated to 2K like no rookie before him. Pacers Gaming is off to their best start ever and for the first time in league history … we’re talking about an MVP candidate that could also be Rookie of the Year. So let’s meet em!
