I loved talking with my friend Barb Butler about her journey as a brain injury survivor. Barb and her family were hit by a semi driver coming home camping in 1993.

Barb would spend 3 weeks in a coma, months in the hospital and awake to a world where she would re-learn to speak, walk, do normal daily tasks. Barb shares how she could have spent her time mourning the loss of a career in education administration, physical and mental abilities, and her working memory loss, but instead she put one foot in front of the other, pushed through, and has been impacting lives of other brain injury survivors.

Mason doesn’t hold back and left me with goosebumps as he shared his story on growing up in small town Saskatchewan, going through the loss of his father, and working for big companies like the Saskatchewan Roughriders + Conexus. 
But most of all he shares about becoming his true authentic self which leads him to finally say the words he’d never said out loud, “I am gay.”

In others eyes Victoria had it all: successful influencer with over 75,000 followers, paid posts, free products, paid trips to amazing locations and even a successful e-book she wrote. But behind the scenes Victoria was at the lowest place of her life and wanted to delete it all. Victoria shares her life as a social influencer, how social media affected her mental health and her family life and shares about the moment when she hit that delete button and walked away from it all. 

Over the past year Shayla Ackerman has become a good friend of mine and I am in awe of how she has built her businesses - from real estate agent extraordinaire, rental guru, mom to 3 beautiful kiddos and wife to Brett and then also a lifestyle blogger this girl does it ALL.
