First up—the Center for Aviation Studies is hosting its annual Networking Week and Aviation Industry Night from October 22 to October 28. All Ohio State students are invited to participate in recruitment and networking opportunities, both formal and casual. Thanks to generous sponsors, registration is free. 
Next—the Sustainability Institute is organizing several events this week. On October 21, there's a guest speaker session titled "Pink Globalization: Hello Kitty's Trek Across the Pacific" from 11:15 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. On October 22, attend "AEDE: A Global Trick-or-Treat - How Chocolate Connects Agriculture and Halloween" from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. 
Finally—the Big Ten GIS Conference 2025 is happening this week. This conference is open to anyone interested in geospatial research—students, educators, researchers, and professionals from all institutions and industries. Whether you're presenting a project, showcasing research, or simply eager to learn, the Big Ten GIS Conference is a place to share and engage. 
Over the weekend, our top-ranked Buckeyes dominated Wisconsin with a 34-0 victory. Quarterback Julian Sayin was on fire, completing 36 of 42 passes for 393 yards and four touchdowns. Wide receiver Carnell Tate also shined, snagging six receptions for 111 yards and two touchdowns. 
Looking ahead, we've got a bye week, so no game this Saturday. But mark your calendars for November 1, when we host Penn State at home.
The Aviation Management Organization is hosting a guest presentation by Bill Lonergan, Deputy Commissioner of the Chicago Department of Aviation, on October 22 at 6:45 p.m. in Mason Hall Rotunda. He'll share insights from his 40+ years in the aviation industry. 
Also, the Sustainability Institute is hosting the National Sustainability Society's Second Annual National Conference from October 20 to October 23. It's a great opportunity to engage with sustainability initiatives and network with like-minded individuals.
