Friday afternoon means a fresh episode of Oilersnation Radio has been recorded and edited and is ready to carry you through the weekend. This week, we discussed Wednesday's loss to the Golden Knights, Evan Bouchard's rough start, Connor McDavid's early return to the lineup, and much more.

We started the Friday episode of the podcast by discussing the Oilers' defensive pairings and whether it's time to change things up. Seeing as the Oilers had some very real struggles against the Golden Knights on Wednesday, it's fair to wonder if Knoblauch should try a different look or two with his defensive units.

Changing gears, we looked at the new line combos the Oilers iced at practice. Mattias Janmark is listed as day-to-day with a lower-body injury, which means there could be a path for a player like Noah Philp to rejoin the big club after spending the week with the Condors. We also touched on Matthew Savoie blocking a shot down in Calgary and how the fear of him being out has seemingly been squashed since he ended up in the lineup the next night.

Finally, we wrapped the podcast up by answering your questions with another round of Ask the Idiots that covered some Oilers talk and some nonsense mixed in there as well. From there, the fellas dove into Hot and Cold Performers to recap everything that's happened over the last seven days.
