What does it actually mean to be wise?

We hear the word “wisdom” all the time. We talk about wise decisions, wise people, and learning from our mistakes. But when we open the book of Proverbs, we find that biblical wisdom is about so much more than simply knowing the right thing to do.

In this episode, we’re talking about what it means to be wise according to God’s Word. We’ll look at where wisdom begins, the difference between knowledge and wisdom, and what it looks like to actually live out the wisdom God gives us.

Because wisdom isn’t just something we gain with age. It’s something we can ask God for, grow in, and practice in the ordinary moments of our lives.

So grab your coffee, pull up a chair, and let’s talk about wisdom, Proverbs, and what it means to live a life shaped by God’s wisdom.

Who Are You When Nobody Is Watching?

Who are you when nobody is watching?

Not the version of you people see at church. Not the version who shows up for everyone else. Not the version who knows the right things to say.

But the you who exists in the quiet—in the ordinary moments, behind closed doors, when there is no applause and no one is keeping score.

In this episode of The Olive Branch Journal, we’re talking about the hidden parts of our lives and the quiet choices that shape who we’re becoming. Because character isn’t built in the spotlight. Some of the most important work God does in us happens where nobody else can see it.

We’ll talk about authenticity, integrity, obedience, the pressure to be perceived a certain way, and the comfort of knowing that even when people don’t see the work happening inside of us, God does.

So take a breath, pull up a chair, and ask yourself:

Who am I when nobody is watching—and who is God inviting me to become?

🌿 There is room for honesty and hope here.

  • What are You Carrying?

    Send us Fan Mail

    What are you carrying?

Not the things people can see. The responsibilities. The calendar. The everyday demands of life.

I mean the things you carry quietly—the fear, the disappointment, the guilt, the unanswered prayers, the pressure to be strong, the people you’re trying to fix, and the future you’re trying desperately to control.

In this episode, we’re talking about the weight we carry, why we sometimes hold onto things God never asked us to carry, and what it actually looks like to surrender them to Him.

Because just because you’re capable of carrying something doesn’t mean you were meant to.

So pull up a chair, take a breath, and let’s talk about what you’re carrying—and what it might look like to finally put it down.

You don’t have to carry it alone. 🌿
