Julia Fisher talks to Joseph Haddad - Since the year 2000, Joseph and his wife Ibtissam have worked tirelessly to help and support several Lebanese families who fled from their war town country of Lebanon into northern Israel to seek shelter and safety. Despite working amongst often desperately poor and needy people, I asked Joseph what his hopes were for the future.
Our aim is to build bridges... To build bridges of understanding and support, in a spirit of reconciliation, between believers (both Jewish and Arab) in the Holy Land (Israel and the Palestinian Areas) and Christians worldwide.

Julia Fisher talks to Joseph Haddad - an Israeli Arab pastor living in Haifa in northern Israel. Joseph’s parents were Lebanese and came to live in Israel which is where Joseph was born. But he has never forgotten his Lebanese heritage, so when in the year 2000 vast numbers of Lebanese refugees poured over the border into northern Israel, Joseph and his wife Ibtissam were there to help them. A church started and ever since that time, Joseph and Ibtissam have travelled the long journey from Haifa to Nahariya several times a week … I asked him to describe an average week.

Julia Fisher talks to Andrey Teplinsky - Originally from Russia, Andrey is a Messianic Jewish Bible teacher and writer based in Haifa in northern Israel. He has written a book called ‘Influence’ in which he asks, can or should believers influence the society in which they live? He says, ‘Many Christians do not consider themselves to be God’s answer to the urgent problems of society. I believe this is often because the theology that is offered is totally separated from real life.’
